Another thing:

I don’t understand how some people can argue that spongebob and adventure time are stupid/childish/terrible/any other negative adjective out there??!?!!?

I mean it’s humor. Sometimes I feel people try to squeeze intellect into everything. But it’s a cartoon… for laughing… why would you expect…anything ELSE? With Adventure Time specifically, there are so many reasons why this show is great. Really. And I’m really bored right now and feeling opinionated so why not talk about it a bit.

Okay, well, the dialogue. It’s out of this world! It’s so silly. But it can get really… real. Idk it’s a really twisted show. I love that. There’s a lot of contrast between the glittery backdrop and what’s actually happening. I like that. It seems like an easy-going show but if you’re the type of weiner that dissects cartoons then Adventure Time is pretty good for you. The whole damn show is this huge ass satire on society. Like, all the characters poke fun at stereotypes and even Finn. He’s the only human left! I can’t remember what episode, but there’s a time where they run into the remains of “human civilization” and it’s this deserted city with muck all around it on the ocean floor. Do I have to explain that one or. I don’t know. The show is just so bizzare, and it’s okay if it’s not your sense of humor but you can’t say it’s dumb. It plays with different aspects of humor and life and irony and satire and just ahhhhh. Not to mention that the actual artistry(?) behind it is a w e s o m e. I mean look at the voice acting! It’s so different, the characters’ voices are surprisingly realistic. And spontaneous. I wish I could explain it better, but it’s like the tones of voices are so funny. And the details. The designs of each scene is so detailed and creative.

I just… don’t get how you can call it a bad show… It’s okay if you don’t like it. That’s totally fine. But criticize it? And place such a boring label on it. Dumb. Stupid. Those words are just not enough. There are so many more things to the show than the surface humor… I mean if you were to come to me with a legitimate critique I would love you because it means you considered the show for what it was, a cartoon.

I guess what bothers me most about this is that people judge things for all the wrong reasons. People don’t analyze something before criticizing it. They try to sound smart by coming to a quick opinionated conclusion, but it makes them sound dumb. It’s like Huckleberry Finn. I heard so many people complain about how stupid it was because it was just about a river. Just about a river?! Do you realize how idiotic and shallow you sound right now?!?!?! LEARN HOW TO READ INTO THINGS. BOOKS. CARTOONS. THEY AREN’T JUST MADE TO ENTERTAIN YOU. THERE IS AT LEAST SOME DEPTH TO THEM. LOOK A LITTLE HARDER MAN
